This concern is common among most engineering students: getting placed after engineering. And computer Science placements at Chandigarh University are indeed reputed for the huge number of recruiters that come to campus. As a matter of fact, this year's placement season registered over 3750 selections for engineers. And a healthy portion of this number came from CSE and IT. Massive amounts of hiring were done by heavy IT brands like Microsoft, IBM, HP, SAP Labs, and Wipro. Some students also bagged international roles with high salaries. Chandigarh University boasted of 50 plus companies in Mechanical, Automobile and Aerospace Engineering in the placement drive of batches 202425.


It also reports that more than 94 percent of students in these branches (Mech/Auto/Aero) got jobs during campus placements.


Top and average salary (CTC) Numbers.

Most recent placement drives had a top domestic engineering package university-wide of about RS 54.75 LPA. 


But in the case of Mechanical, Automobile and Aerospace Engineering in particular the maximum package that has been reported in one of the more recent drives was 11.5 LPA.

It has been reviewed that in one aerospace batch, 10-15 students were placed in a batch of 60 (which appears to be low, but could be due to eligibility, performance or company demands).
