Hello Atharva, after completion of your Diploma in engineering you are definitely eligible for getting admission in a lateral mode directly into second year of engineering in any college in Maharashtra from where I suppose you did your Diploma. I am afraid I could not understand which college you are talking about when you said a m u. But it does not matter the procedure remains same every state has its own ruling about lateral mode of admission in Maharashtra it is the directorate of technical education which centrally conducts counselling for admission based on marks obtained in Diploma. Hello Mohini, if I may say so your ranking in this entrance examination for engineering students by Andhra Pradesh government is a bit on the lower side. In addition almost every student games CSE as the first choice. Due to this cutoff for this particular branch are quite stiff. Of course for the branch of ECE this may not be so and you will probably get admission. The eligibility criteria of B.Tech Biotechnology of Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology Meerut is given below.
Eligibility Criteria : 10+2 with minimum 5 subjects passed with minimum 50% marks. Physics and Biology/ Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
Admission Procedure : Students with valid scores in JEE-Main / Any State Engineering Entrance Examination are eligible for Direct Admission. Students securing 70% in class XII (CBSE/ ICSE Boards) or 65% (in State Boards) 2018-19 examinations are also eligible for Direct Admission. 5% additional weightage is given to Girl candidates.
So from above if you have any entrance exam score like JEE Main, UPSEE etc can be eligible here for direct admission. However on the basis of your 12th CBSE marks you are not eligible here for direct admission. So use your entrance scores if have for admission.
