Hello Girish, almost all the engineering colleges give admissions directly into second year of engineering to the students who have passed their Diploma in engineering. However the modus operandi changes from state to state. Some States conduct a common entrance test called by different names in each state based on which law student will get admission to different colleges. Some States do not conduct such entrance exam but give admission based on the marks obtained in Diploma examination. In addition to this some States have put restrictions for the domicile of the student but some States do not have any such protection. LPU offers 200+ programmes in 45+ disciplines. I can give you fee idea by taking an example like for 2020 admission session B.Tech CSE course fee Rs 98000 per semester. This fee reduces with a scholarship if you avail as per LPU scholarship scheme. Duration of B.Tech course is 4 years, 8 semesters, so you can accordingly calculate the programme fee for 4 years. Programme fee and residential charges are separate. Now coming on hostel charges-Hostel charges depends on which hostel seater you are choosing 1,2,3,4 or any other.
1 seater, means 1 student in a single room,2 seater means single room 2 students are sharing and so it goes for other seater as per seater number. Every seater charges are different. You need to pay for full academic session (10 months, 2 holidays months excluded) for a hostel. As far as I know and observed all the branches are equally good. Placements at LPU is a major known factor and the preparations for it start soon after joining classes at LPU itself and the students are guided until and unless they secure a job for themselves. To get placed in some company I would say it depends on your potential also. LPU provides ample opportunity for all students. As per my observance engineering at LPU is well known for its placements packages, then management and then any other course placements are rated. Certainly, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, the number of admissions in the CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. The average package of the university is around 5 Lacs per annum and the highest package offered to a student of LPU in 2019-20 was Rs. 42 Lacs per annum. It was bagged by a student of B.Tech. CSE student only.
