Yes, you are eligible after completion of your Diploma course for B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) Lateral admission at Indian Maritime Universities located at Kolkata, Mumbai Port, Chennai and Visakhapatnam. The eligibility criteria are as under. Eligibility : 3-years Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 55% of marks for B.Tech Marine Engineering or 4-years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education. While 60% marks are required in case of B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering). And a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in class 10th/ class 12th/Diploma Examination. The candidate should have completed the Diploma within its stipulated duration of 3 years. The admissions will be made in the order of merit based on aggregate percentage of marks. Age: 18-26 years.

Lucknow University offers admission to B.Tech in 5 specializations. Admission to B.Tech programme will be based on Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) conducted by AKTU, Lucknow.
Candidates who haspassed 12thor appearing in the qualifying exam will be eligible for entrance exam.
Application form will be available on the official website of UPSEE (www.upsee.nic.in) in the month of January. Application form and Application fee of INR 1300/- (general category/ male candidates) and INR 650/- (female candidates/SCs/STs category)should be submitted online.
Admission to B.Tech programme will be based on UPSEE and counsellingconducted by AKTU, Lucknow.
