Hi I would suggest you try for better colleges than SSN as their placements are pretty poor and mediocre. Recently they came to SRM campus for a company called Ingram Micro for campus drive and not a single one of them cleared and they also lacked in basic communication too. I applied in SSN but was glad I got rejected because I got better opportunities and exposure here in SRM than SSN. Would suggest you try for places elsewhere like LIBA and Great Lakes which offers Great ROI and better roles than just sales based roles

MBA is one of the professional courses that have equal opportunities for students from every stream. Not just the commerce students, but students from Science stream also apply for admission in MBA colleges. Yes you can surely, based on your 12th-grade marks and because you already did mech, you are eligible and you will get admission easily, career-wise also in comparison to both civil engineering has a better scope, not that mech doesn't but comparatively civil is better. Actually to state it more clearly:
Mechanical engineers on average earn more than a civil engineer by $10 per year! However, the top 10% of civil engineers are paid more compared to the top 10% of mechanical engineers. So you have to work hard irrespective of whatever you choose, obviously, there is competition everywhere. However, in general, both streams are evergreen.
