It's the percentage that is given by your board and which basis you are declared passed in 12th standard. In almost all boards it's the marks of only 12th that are considered.

It's actually a very simple process. The student needs to score 75% or more in qualifying exam like 12th or equivalent. Then appear in JEE Mains exam and be in top (approx) 3L students who are eligible to take JEE Advanced exam. Take this exam and be in top 500- 1000 to get this branch in IIT Mumbai.

I am afraid but must say that your marks are below 50% and with students preferring govt colleges over private ones, you have very slim chances. But still surprises are known to have occured.
