General category students need 60% marks. Otherwise, you can't give IPMAT. For SC/ST/OBC, the required percentage is 55%.

As per the present conditions in India, automobile engineering is better than aeronautical engineering from any perspective.

I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about top colleges offering Aeronautical Engineering branch in India. Scope for these graduates is increasing with each passing year. What would be starting salary four years from now cannot be predicted but is expected to be quite comparable with other branches of engineering.

You may go ahead with the Master's degree in your subject for better job options and do internships as well to get experience. Well, there are many options for job in this field. Jobs in the civil aviation department
