Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology (GCETTS), Serampore, has strong placements, particularly for Textile Technology and Apparel Production Management (APM) branches. In 2024-25, over 95% of students in Textile Technology secured on-campus placements with the highest package reaching 18 LPA and an average of 7 LPA according to Shiksha. While placements for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT) are not as robust, they still see placements with an average package around 3.5 LPA and a the highest package of 9 LPA in some cases according to reviews on Shiksha.

The selection criteria for B.E. / B.Tech at Loyola Institute of Technology and Management is based on performance in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET entrance exam.
