GATE CCMT exam is conducted by National Institute of Technology Warangal for 2025. Last year, it was conducted by NIT Delhi. Additionally, IIIT Trichy has released its initial round to select candidates occupy M.Tech seats. Considering the Round 1 seat allotment results 2025, the IIIT Trichy cutoff ranged between 460 and 589 for the General All India quota. Similarly, for the OBC AI quota, the cutoff varied between 420 and, 516, wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive course. For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 51499 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIIT Trichy.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Trichy has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 46497. In 2022, it increased to 51499. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 57080 to 60677 for OBC, 169275 to 107451 for SC, 184297 to 176528 for ST, 52036 to 54904 for EWS, 1573 to 897 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. IIIT Trichy offers two specialisations for MTech; Computer Science & Engineering and VLSI Systems. For admission to the MTech programme, candidate's IIIT Trichy MTech programme candidates must have bachelor's degree with 60% aggregate. Also candidates must have a valid score in the GATE exam and go through the CCMT counselling. Additionally, candidates have to complete the entire admission process as per the Institution's admission guidelines. 

IIIT Trichy Admission Process is a multi-step process that is done in complete online mode. Candidates first have to apply for their desired courses by filling the online application form for the course-specific entrance exam.
