Hello,
No, your score should be under the range of 5000, then only you will be eligible for NITs. There are few NITs where one or two branches cutoff very to 9000 rank but again 26000 category rank is so high that it won't be possible in any case for NITs.

With biology as a subject in 10+2 you can apply for food technology but not for food technology and business because there is only one college NIFTEM offering this course and to get in NIFTEM, you should have PCM as your main subjects in 10+2. All the best.

It entirely depends on the rank you get in GATE. A very good rank, say 80, may get you a job in PSUs. A good rank will get you admission into top colleges. A decent rank will get you admission in not-so-top colleges. An okay rank will give you inspiration to work harder in next attempt. A bad rank gives you experience. If you want industrial exposure, you should go for a job. Choose GATE only if you want to opt for government sector or academics. There is not much you can do with your GATE score apart from these. Of course, you can apply for some foreign universities for Masters with your GATE score (Like NSU/Nanyang ).

It is according to the previous year's cutoff. At present, cutoff may vary because it depends on many suspects. But, this tool will help you to know in which college you have chances for admission.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda is a decent university. It depends what you want to study and all the departments will not be equally ranked. I ready somewhere (cannot provide reference) that it ranks among the top 10 universities for arts in India. Its engineering branch, though not highly ranked, is also pretty good especially in Gujarat. Many of my friends studied engineering there and are currently doing very good in their professions. Good companies, including multi-nationals, recruit from MSU. My friends got placed in Cognizant and other IT companies. One of them went on to do M.Tech at IIT-Bombay after B.Tech f
