hi,
For admission into Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (often called IIT Mumbai), the required rank in Joint Entrance Examination Advanced depends on the branch and your category. For top branches like Computer Science, you typically need a rank within ~1–70 (General category). For Aerospace Engineering, the closing rank is usually around ~1500–2500 (General). Cutoffs vary each year based on difficulty, seat matrix, and competition. Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST) have comparatively relaxed ranks. To be safe, aim for the best possible rank, ideally within the top 2000 for good core branches at IIT-B.

An SC student needs about 200–250+ marks and a rank under 700 to get Aerospace at IIT Bombay.
SC rank needed → around under 700
Marks needed → roughly 200 – 250+ (approx)
Aerospace at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is highly competitive, so:
Below 200 → very low chance
200–250 → possible
250+ → safer side

No, candidates can not raise objections in JEE Adv result. The facility to raise objection is provided only in the answer key. It is clearly mentioned in the IIT JEE advanced 2026 information brochure that any request to re-evaluate in result will not be entertained under any circumstances.

If you get no rank in JEE Advanced result, that means you have not qualified the exam. The candidates who qualify the exam are only assigned a rank ijn the exsam and it is mentioned on the result.

The conducting IIT sometimes send the JEE Advanced result on the email of parents and candidates are provided while registering for the exam. However, in certain year the result is not sent via email. Hence, candidates whould not wait for the JEE Advanced result on their email and check it from the official website - jeeadv.ac.in as soon as the result is out.

The JEE Advanced 2026 result can be checked using the steps below:
- Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2026 - jeeadv.ac.in.
- Check for the JEE Advanced result link.
- Now enter the login details asked like the JEE Advanced or Main application number / password or date of birth.
- On successful login, the JEE Advanced 2026 result will appear on the screen.
- Save the result and keep it with you for any future references.

Kalpit Veerwal, the JEE Advanced 2017 AIR 1 scored 360 out of 360, the only person in the history of IIT JEE to score full marks.
Another student Ved Lahot scored 355 in JEE Advanced 2024 exam and secured AIR 1.

JEE Advanced 2026 result and scorecard is same thing. Candidates can download their result/scorecard copy from the website jeeadv.ac.in. The scorecard is required at the time of counselling and admission. Details about candidates score in the exam, qualification status and All India Rank is mentioned in the scorecard.
