Hi Manu,
You need to have a good score in JEE Mains to get admission in B.Tech. Also, you can take direct admission in some private colleges via management quota like Amity University, Sharda University, Lovely professional university etc. As per your interests and convenience.
Best of luck.

Hi NAGESWARARAO,
As your son has got 7120 ews rank in JEE Mains with 94.95 percent marks, so he is eligible to participate in the counselling process. You should apply for lower and middle order nits like NIT Patna, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Bhopal, IIIT Bhubaneswar, etc. Better to apply for all the nits available in the list.
Best of luck.

Hi VISHNU,
The cut-off marks vary every year. By just getting the cut-offs marks will not be sufficient for getting admission in this college. But you need to be in top 10,000 to get a seat in this college.
Best of luck.

Yes, DY Patil University is a good college for CSE. Its curriculum includes some niche specializations like artificial Intelligence, Human Interaction, Bio-Computation focusing on areas like machine learning, logical reasoning, probabilistic modeling and inference, natural language processing, cognition, computer vision, and computational biology. Placements are also decent in computer science.

In NITS and IIITS maybe not as you are from general category. Take a year drop and prepare well or try to get admission in any private college.

It could be better as you will get some good facilities and more opportunities due to the fact that you are in a government college. If you are concerned with your studies then it could be better than the state colleges. You will definitely get problems regarding infrastructure. But then you have to choose according to your priorities.

For list of colleges based on JEE Mains Percentile/Rank you can check the below link -
https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor
For SASTRA - it gives admission based on total percentile calculated based on JEE and 12th percentage. Most of the seats are filled through this. Around 25-30% seats are filled based on 12th percentage. (1) Stream 1 (based on JEE Main 2019 scores and +2 Marks) for 70% of seats (2) Stream 2 (based on +2 marks) for 30% of seats
Example: If a student secures AJEE Main percentile Score of 90 and normalized +2 aggregate is 95%, the combined score of the student will be (0.25*90) + (0.75*95
