At Texas Tech University, the eligibility requirements for international students are listed below:

English Language Proficiency

• The English proficiency exam scores like IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT are required for undergraduate and graduate students whose English is not their first language.

• For admission into the college of Business Administration, official GRE and GMAT scores are required. For applicants who have work experience for more than two years, the GMAT scores are waived.

• The scores are to be submitted directly from the Testing Service to the Texas Tech University. The scores are valid for only two years.

For international undergraduate admissions, Texas Tech University accepts the High School/Secondary School or college coursework certificates in the following cases:

• In the case of applicants attending high school within the English proficiency test exempted country.

• Achieved a grade C, a score of 4 or better in English on the I.B. diploma.

• Earned a grade C or a higher grade in English on the A-Level GCE.

• If the applicant has completed 30 transferable credit hours at an institution with US accreditation.

• As proof of English proficiency, students can also submit the official transcript and certificate of ELS English for academic purposes program level 112.

• If the students who completed any CEA accredited English program or equivalent can submit them as English proficiency.
