Admission to MA English is done on the basis of entrance tests. However, some MA English colleges also provide direct admission based on merit. Admission to the course is based on the merit obtained by the candidate at the level of graduation. A few colleges conduct their own entrance examinations followed by rounds of group discussion and personal interview.

You can definitely apply for the B.Ed program after completing the Masers in Arts. If you want to make career in the teaching field you can prepare for the exams like UGC NET, SET and other exams conducted by state govt. for the lectureship and teaching program.
