If you have pursued the Master's degree in Arts, then it will be beneficial to get the post of Assistant Professor in the same field so you should only apply for lectureship in the subject of your master's degree. To become eligible for the post of Assistant Professor you need to qualify the UGC NET Exam. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency for selecting the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship. After getting the certificate you can apply for any college or institute for lectureship. I hope it helps.

No. It is not feasible for you to apply for such subjects after your B.Tech. You should have done it before completing your B.Tech degree. Hence, I will not prefer it.
