NCHMCT JEE 2026 Application Last Date Extended till March 25, 2026. With a view to wider participation of eligible candidates, the registration deadline postponed by the NCHM. NTA has increased the number of NCHM JEE exam centres for 2026 in its 2026 notification. In 2026, NCHMCT JEE exam will be conducted in 120 cities. Students can register for NCHMCT JEE 2026 entrance exam and choose up to four exam cities of their choice.

NCHMCT JEE 2026 registration link is available on the official website of NTA: exams.nta.nic.in. You can also visit NCHMCT official site to register for the test. NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam date is April 25, 2026. This date was released by the NTA with NCHM official notification. Due to the NCHM JEE application 2 month extension, the exam date may also be postponed. However, no official NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam date postponement notice has been released yet.

NCHM JEE 2026 exam pattern has changed. As of 2026, NCHMCT JEE pattern will have only 120 questions. The duration of NCHMCT JEE 2026 exam is 2 hours or 120 minutes. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode.

What is NCHMCT JEE?

NCHMCT JEE full form is National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam. It is a national level hospitality entrance exam for admission in BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration). The exam is held annually and it is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The 3 years BSc (HHA) course is offered by NCHMCT jointly with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). All the participating Institutes accept the NCHM JEE score for admission to the BSc (HHA) courses offered by their respective institutions.

What's New in NCHMCT JEE 2026?

The NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern 2026 has changed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that the exam will now have 120 questions instead of more. The marks for each section are also different now. NCHMCT JEE scores are utilized by the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) for admission. There are about 21 central IHMs, 33 state IHMs,1 PSU IHM, 2 IHMs run Under PPP, 25 Private IHMs, and 1 PSU owned Institute that are affiliated to NCHMCT and offer BSc (HHA) courses and the admission is based on NCHMCT JEE. 

The NCHMCT JEE 2026 Question Paper will be in two languages; i.e. English and Hindi. The exam will last 180 minutes, and all questions will be multiple-choice. 200 questions are framed from Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector.

NCHMCT JEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To fill out the NCHMCT JEE 2026 registration form, candidates must meet the NCHM JEE 2026 eligibility criteria. Check out the eligibility criteria for the NHCMCT JEE below:

Age limit: There is an upper age limit for the candidates. The age limit is a defined category wise, check below:

  • Upper age limit for General, General (EWS) and OBC categories - 25 years as of July 01, 2026, ie, candidates born on or after July 01, 1999, are eligible
  • SC, ST candidates and Physically challenged candidates - 25 years as of July 01, 2026, ie, candidates born on or after July 01, 1997, are eligible

Qualification: There are no minimum marks that candidates need in their qualifying exam. However, they need to fulfil the following conditions:

  • Must have passed or must be appearing in 10+2.
  • English must be a compulsory subject.

List of qualifying exams: The list of qualifying exams are as follows:

  • Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised university.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University
  • Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a foreign country that should be recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) / Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

NCHMCT JEE 2026 Admission

The admission process of NCHMCT JEE is as follows:

Step 1: Fill the application form for NCHMCT JEE 2026

NTA conducted the application form filling process of NCHMCT JEE 2026 in the online mode only. The candidates could check their eligibility and fill the form in online mode only. The application form filling process included the below-given steps:

  • Registration
  • Filling the form
  • Uploading scanned images
  • Payment of the application fee

Step 2: Download the admit card

Candidates could download the admit card from the official website. Only the registered candidates were issued the NCHMCT JEE admit card.

Step 3: Appear for the exam

Candidates had to appear for the CBT of NCHMCT JEE 2026 as per the date and time given on the admit card.

Step 4: Answer Key, Question Papers, Response Sheet

NTA will release the NCHMCT JEE answer keys. The answer key will have the correct answers to all the questions that are asked in the test. Using the marking scheme of the test, candidates can calculate the probable score they are getting before the results are out. However, this will not be treated as a final score.

With the answer key, NCHMCT JEE 2026 question papers will also be made available. The question papers will have all the questions that were asked on the exam day.

Step 5: Check result

NTA will announce the result of NCHMCT JEE 2026 likely by May second-week (Tentative). However, before the answer key, response sheet and question papers will also be uploaded on the official website. The result will be made available in the form of a scorecard.

NCHMCT JEE 2026 Result and Merit List

The exam authority will publish a combined merit list with ranked candidates as mentioned in NCHMCT JEE 2026 results. The ranking / merit of the candidates will be decided based on the NTA score. In case, two or more candidates get the same score then, tie-breaking criteria will be applied that is given below:

  1. Candidates securing higher marks in the English component of NCHMCT JEE 2026 will rank higher.
  2. In case there is a tie between candidates in NCHM JEE 2026, as well as in the English component of NCHM-JEE 2026 exam, then the candidate securing higher marks in the Service Aptitude Component of NCHM-JEE will rank higher.
  3. If the tie is still there, then the candidate older in age will ranked higher.

Step 6: Counselling

NCHMCT will conduct the counselling for admission to NCHMCT JEE 2026 participating colleges. After the declaration of the Result, the NCHM JEE 2026 Score will be provided by NTA to NCHMCT to conduct the counselling for admission to the BSc (HHA) courses.
