Direction for questions 5 to 8: Answer the questions on the basis of the information given below.

Shweta has six different types of fruits – Mangoes, Bananas, Mausamis, Pineapples, Guavas and Litchis with him. Following table provides information about the minimum and the maximum price of each of the mentioned fruits. The table also provides information about the number of fruits of each type and the average price of each fruit.

Assume that the price of each fruit is an integer. There is only one Mango that has the minimum price and there is only one Mango that has the maximum price. The same holds true for each type of fruit.

(b)

The total price of Guavas with Shweta is 5 * 28 = Rs. 140

The total price of the 26 Guavas whose price is not known is 140 – (3 + 8) = Rs. 129.

Assume that maximum number of Guavas with have price equal to Rs. 7

129 = 8 * 7 + 1 * 5 + 17 * 4. Therefore, the number of Guavas with Shweta whose price is less than the average price of the Guavas with Shweta is at least 17 + 1 = 18.

(d)

The price of the 18 Pineapples with Shweta whose price is not known to us = X

X = 20 * 34 – (16 + 26 + 4 * 22 + 10 * 18) = Rs. 370

Assume that maximum number of Pineapples have price equal to 17

370 = 25 * 8 + 17 * 10. Number of pineapple with Shweta whose price is at least Rs. 25 is at most 8 + 1 = 9.
