as you know a person can excel in every feild if he has true desire and dedication to achieve it.
These days both of them are gaining the attention of youth as they are good enough.
but hotel management provides you more security in terms of salary ,job and good placement as you have asked. whereas event management may be little bit occasional but due to the lavish ceremonies , shows or functions this has also gained importance.
as hotel management is much broader than ev. mang. it is more flexible and you have several options in it. so take your time and choose the one which suites you.

Getting into event management is not as simple as it looks like. You need to be on your toes and manage right from production to catering and everything. If you are dedicated enough and are ready to work hard then only go for event management.
