Hi Vidhi,

Yes, it is necessary to write the entrance examination for the MBA course.

To pursue an MBA in Event Management, you have to give CAT, MAT or CMAT exam and then apply for colleges that offer MBA Event Management.

Hope it helps.

Please feel free to revert.

Hi Ritika
Selection between B.A. Psychology and BBA Event Management will depend on
1. Your long term goals
2. Your orientation.
B.A. Psychology can be good for you if you wish to become an academician, researcher or even you can be a practicing Psychiatrist. You can involve yourself in counselling jobs also.
BBA Event Management requires creativity, lot of networking, hard toil and labour at odd places and odd temperature. But yes you will get a quick access to corporate life.
Hope it serves your purpose.
Good Luck!

Hi Atul,
Event Management:
All industries need to reach out to people and the easiest way is through events. Event management companies specialise in organising events for a specific audience to convey a message. These could be promotional or cause oriented events.
Though a degree is not a concern for the enthusiasts, the passion and zeal for the profession is a must. Various diplomas and certificate courses are offered for this field.
It is entirely a different way of promoting a product, service, or idea. If an event is managed effectively and efficiently, it can be used as a very powerful promotional tool to market a product or service.

Event management doesn't require any particular degree. Instead your personal skills, way to express and sense of humor is sufficient to be a event manager. Its advised to be a part of some local event management group and get your skill developed for best opportunity. No doubt your qualification will boost your skill in this field and so as confidence.
