Exam Eligibility

Candidates who have score a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate in graduation are eligible to apply (45 per cent forSC/ST/PwD candidates). The graduation degree should be from a universityrecognisedby the UGC. If you are in the final year of your bachelor’s degree programme and wish to appear for IIF then you need to have scored a minimum 50 per cent in aggregate in first two years of your Bachelor's degree (45 per cent for Reserved category candidates). However, your admission will be provisional until you submit your Graduation certificate before the last date of document submission fixed by the institute.

 Aspirants must note that there is no age limit to appear in the IIFT entrance exam. The only eligibility criteria for IIFT exam is graduation with required score. Fresh graduates as well as individuals having work experience can also appear for the IIFT entrance exam which is held for admission to MBA-International Business and MBA-Business Analytics.

Yes, a graduate in Data Science can be eligible for the Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria. The IES exam, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India, is open to candidates from various engineering disciplines. While the majority of candidates typically come from traditional engineering fields such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics, candidates from other engineering disciplines, including Data Science, may also be eligible to apply.

To be eligible for the IES exam, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Nationality: The candidate must be a citizens of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent setting in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent setting in India.

2. Age Limit: The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years of age. Age relations are provided for candidates belonging to certain categories.

3. Educational Qualification: The candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering from arecogniseduniversity or must be in the final year of their engineering degree. The specific engineering disciplines eligible for the IES exam may vary from year to year, so it is important to refer to the official notification for the specific year in which you plan to appear for the exam.
