Exam Eligibility

Yes, a graduate in Data Science can be eligible for the Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria. The IES exam, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India, is open to candidates from various engineering disciplines. While the majority of candidates typically come from traditional engineering fields such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics, candidates from other engineering disciplines, including Data Science, may also be eligible to apply.

To be eligible for the IES exam, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizens of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent setting in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent setting in India.

2. Age Limit: The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years of age. Age relations are provided for candidates belonging to certain categories.

3. Educational Qualification: The candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering from arecogniseduniversity or must be in the final year of their engineering degree.
