Exam Eligibility

To be eligible for the CDS exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 19 years old when applying for the CDS exam. The age limit for female candidates is generally the same as for male candidates, ranging from 19 to 25 years
2. Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a UGC-recognized university. Final-year students who are expected to complete their degree before the commencement of the respective academy's training can also apply
3. Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India
4. Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the specific physical fitness requirements, including height, weight, visual acuity, and overall physical health. The physical requirements for each of the three wings (OTA, INA, AFA) are detailed in the official CDS notification
5. Marital Status: There are no specific restrictions based on marital status for most academies under CDS. Both unmarried and married candidates may be eligible, subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria
6. Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of CDS exam attempts for candidates who have completed their graduation

It is essential to check the official CDS notification for any specific variations in eligibility criteria and to ensure that candidates meet all the requirements mentioned by the official body.

In the 12th examination, the candidate must have received at least 60% in each of the subjects of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Alternatively, the candidate must have received at least 75% of the possible points in all three subjects (physics, chemistry, and mathematics, if taken in BITSAT) or biology, chemistry, and mathematics, if taken in BITSAT.

 
The BITSAT-2023 test is only open to students who are taking the 12th grade examination in 2023 or who passed the 12th grade examination in 2022.   Only a candidate's most recent performance is taken into account if they have attempted 12th class or its equivalent more than once, as long as they completed all required subjects and courses. Students who passed their 12th grade exam in 2021 or earlier are not allowed to take the BITSAT in 2023. BITSAT-2023 is not open to students who are currently enrolled in BITS at any of its campuses.

 
Only merit will be used to determine admissions. The candidate's merit-based admission position will be determined by their BITSAT-2023 final score. The higher of the two BITSAT 2023 scores will be taken into consideration for admission for candidates who have taken the test twice and want to enroll in any of BITS Pilani's First Degree programs. Their eligibility for admission is contingent upon meeting the previously mentioned minimum score requirements in the 12th grade exam.

The AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice in a year for the recruitment of candidates in Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.

IAF also recruits candidates for the grant of PC/SSC for NCC Special Entry Scheme (Flying Branch) and for Meteorological Entry. It is one of the most coveted jobs in Indian Air Force and a dream job for millions of aspirants across India.
AFCAT Exam consists of three stages: Written Examination, AFSB and Interview round.
