Oberoi STEP is an interview-based selection process that is conducted in three steps.
1. Following the application process, the candidates are chosen via three rounds of interviews.
2. The candidates are divided into groups of 15 to 20 applicants each for the first round. They are judged according to standards like appearance, poise, and English spoken.
3. Shortlisted candidates move on to the second round, where they must meet one-on-one with a panel made up of faculty members.
4. Their behavior, personality, and capacity for hospitality are assessed in the second round.
5. Candidates must take part in course-based activities and fill out some questionnaires during the final round of interviews. A panel interview serves as the final step in this process. The selection panel makes the final decision based on their personality, knowledge, behavior, and skill set.
