Admission to the course at various private institutes of the country is based on the candidates performance in a relevant entrance test and round of personal interview. TheIHMs of the country however, follow their own admission process. All applicants are required to appear for an All-India Joint Entrance Examination conducted by NCHM (National Council for Hotel Management). Public administration is one of the highly popular optional subjects. Some of the most successful candidates opt for public administration as their optional subject. Though there is tough competition in UPSC, some subjects are more preferred than others.

Hi Suyash,
As you have more than 60% in boards, it's an add-on for you. But you need to be under top 2500 students in VITEEE. If that's the case, you will surely get VIT.
I hope this helps.
All the Best!
