It depends upon the university rules and recognition, it is followed differently with different institutions, as some don't prefer entrance exams and some prefer class 12th board exams. So, check and finalize the university first. All the best.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting All India Entrance Examinations for admission to B.Sc M.Sc & Ph.D courses in Agril Universities, and award of scholarships and fellowships to the National Testing Agency from 2019 onwards. I advise you to write this exam for getting admission to top universities. The last date for online application is 1st May. The following link may be useful to you:

Hi Mehnaz,
With 84.4 percentile in JEE Mains your expected rank would be above 1-1.5 lakhs all over India which is quite low for getting admission in best colleges of India.
Good luck.

Hi, if you're looking for an NIT with that rank it might not be that easy. However, you might stand a chance at IIIT Bhubaneswar, going by last year's results. You'll hopefully make it through after 2-3 rounds of counselling.
All the best!
