Major role of a Software Testing executive is to test software developed by software engineers/ developer and reporting its defects so that bug free software systems can be developed. Major responsibilities of Testing Executives are as follows:

(d)Create test scripts in case of automation testing. Sometime testers may create test bed.

XIMR does not have its own executive programme. However it is in process of launching one in association with XLRI. Kindly check the XLRI website for additional details.
Ideally, 3-5 years of work experience is preferred for executive programme but the eligibility for the admission process varies from institute. It is also preferred to do an executive programme from a reputed college for greater weightage in your career prospects.
In Bombay, Welingkar, JBIMS and the others offer executive programmes for different specializations and all over India the IIMs among the others offer the same. Kindly narrow down a few colleges you'd like to attend and then follow their admission processes accordingly.

Regular MBA is the best option among regular, part-time and executive MBA. Full-time MBA is taught by extensive case studies and group work. Full-time MBA students have easy access to teachers and fellow students for discussion leading to better learning. Full-time MBA provides an environment for overall development of the student.
Executive MBA is an intensive one-year residential or distance learning or combination of residential & distance learning programme created specifically for professionals with work experience of 5 years or more. Executive MBA provides students with the same solid foundation in key management concepts and disciplines as a two-year full-time MBA. Executive MBA course work is built on the basis of that students will have diverse and extensive work experience by virtue of which they will able to related to management theories and concepts. Executive MBA is rigorous as the syllabus of two years is compressed in one year.
If you are not in the position to undertake 2 years leave of absence from the job due to personal constraints, you may opt for Executive MBA. MBA through distance is the third best option.
