There are some related courses like textile design, garment design and footwear design. Fashion stream is one of the most successful in terms of job and business. You can be a merchandiser or designer or start your own label.

Following are the tips and tricks to crack NIFT or any of the design college entrance exams:
1. It hardly matters, if your sketching skills are average, the questions are framed to judge a candidate's creativity, imagination, visualization skills, general awareness, etc. So, developing these skills are equally important.
2. Focus over your creativity during your exam preparations.
3. With the creativity, speed equally matters. If you are creative, but unable to cope up with the time limit, you will miss the questions. So, it is better to practice keeping in mind the speed and accuracy.

The basic eligibility criteria to pursue a course in National Institute of Fashion Technology is successfully completing 10+2. Admissions are done on the basis of an entrance examination i.e CAT & GAT. After clearing, there is a situation test which is followed by a group discussion or a counseling session.
