To take admission in Forensic Science programme after 12th you must have minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB and completed your 12th from a recognised board. Then you'll have to appear for a national level entrance exam for good colleges for pursuing Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science the exam is All India Forensic Science Entrance Test. The forensic Science is offered in specialisations like Toxicology, DNA Analysis and Cyber Forensics.

Several universities offer Master's degrees in either Forensic Science or Nuclear Medicine, but there are not many that offer both as a combined course. Some prominent institutions offering these programs individually include AIIMS Delhi, CMC Vellore, and JIPMER Puducherry for Nuclear Medicine, and NIMS University, SGT University, and AIIMS Rishikesh for Forensic Medicine.

In Delhi, the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi Campus has a criminology specialisation in an M.Sc. in Forensic Science; the university also provides integrated or joint B.Sc.-M.Sc. programmes and branch-specific M.Sc. degrees. The Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Sciences (LNJN NICFS) is another important academy with M.Sc. in Forensic Sciences and M.A. in Criminology. Alongside this the University of Delhi (DU) now runs an M.Sc. in Forensic Science at their Departments of Anthropology which has elements of criminology in their curriculum.

The admission process for the B.Sc. Forensic Science programme at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore, is based on merit and eligibility criteria. There is no entrance exam; instead, the college considers academic performance in the qualifying examination and the guidelines set by Bangalore University.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (PUC/Pre-University) or equivalent examination in the Science stream.
They should have studied Botany, Zoology, or Biology as part of their 10+2 curriculum.
