Hello Saurabh,
If you have nothing against PCM, then I suggest you continue with science in 12th. After finishing 12th, you can look up for various opportunities in video games designs. In two years plenty of things would have changed.

You can also pursue a career in gaming after completing your B.Tech in computer science engineering as a game developer. Candidates who are good in programming languages they also have good opportunities in the gaming industry.
Well, if you have ever wanted to get indulged into the making of game, then you may look at the game designer as a good career option.

I don't think any of the NIT or IIT offers game designing course.
You have to study game designing course on your own, either with the help of internet, YouTube or by taking coaching classes.

You can choose from wide range of courses offered by various institutes in India after completing your 12th.
Courses:
B.Sc in game art
PG diploma in Visual communications
Game art (core)
Game art (professional)
Game design, etc.
or
You can take some degree related to computer science or information technology, where you can learn the basics of coding and try to become a strong programmer. If you are good in coding either networking or writing drivers or developing games will become easy. Then focus on graphics and maths which is a lot used in gaming.

Yes, scope is there but it's not as much as animation line.Game development in India. I don't think that's such a good idea because there are no well known Indian game developers.
