Generally speaking, for a GATE score of 361, the chances for M.Tech in Structural Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur would depend on one's category admission and the cut-off marks for that specific year.
For a general category student the cut-off marks for Structural Engineering generally are quite high and range closer to 401 marks in the successive years. On the other hand, if you are belonging to any of OBC, SC or ST categories, then you may be able to make it, cut-offs are lower for these categories.
Of course, the admission is CCMT counseling based on GATE score, other aspects being availability of seats and competition using that

Candidates seeking M.Tech admission at IIIT Guwahati are required to apply with a valid GATE score. However, merely having a valid entrance test score does not guarantee admission. Once all the students have applied, the institute's admission committee screens all the applications and shortlists students based on their GATE scores.
After screening is over, the shortlisted students receive a PI call letter. Those who have received it and wish to take admission must participate and do well in the interview round. Check out the below list to know the commonly asked questions in PI:

Yes, one can get into NSIT without giving the GATE exam as the basis of selection for that course. GATE is a gateway for entering M.Tech courses of NSIT. In cases of undergraduate courses like B.Tech and other such courses, admissions are done based on scores in JEE Main and not GATE. GATE is not required for undergraduate courses in NSIT.
