There will be 65 questions in total, divided into two sections. Section I includes 10 questions on general aptitude, and section II comprises 55 questions on the core chemistry syllabus.

Yes, of course. You can join Lucknow Institute of Technology (LIT) for M.Tech also without attending GATE. M.Tech entry into LIT is UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) as well. Depending upon the seat availability and eligibility, there is institutional counseling to facilitate entry. GATE-qualified candidates get priority for scholarships and other preferences. There is also a scope for a student, who hasn't qualified under GATE, to apply to the college considering the academic performance along with an entrance examination conducted by that institute or even a state-level entrance examination. IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 in two sessions. The GATE Civil Engineering paper will be conducted on February 16, 2025 -

  • CE1 paper will take place in the morning session (9:30 am to 12:30 pm)
  • CE2 paper will take place in the afternoon session (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)
