If you have forgotten your GATE enrollment ID, then you can retrieve it by "Forgot Credentials" option at the GOAPS portal 2026 and follow the instructions. You need to provide your GATE registered email ID and mobile number to receive your enrollment ID in your email inbox.
The GATE enrollement ID is a combination of Alphabets and Number, which is a unique identification number assigned to the candidates during the application process. It serves as an username to log in to the GOAPS portal. Candidates are advised to save their enrollment ID securely, as it is essential throughout the GATE exam journey.

If there is any error in the GATE admit card particulars, such as name, exam centre, subject option, etc. after downloading, the hall ticket, then candidates must immediately contact the GATE organising institute via their helpline number or email. Make sure to mention complete details regarding the discrepancy and request a correction before the GATE exam. The GATE 2025 admit card will be now released on January 7, 2025.

Yes, the GATE exam is conducted on different dates and sessions. This year, IIT Guwahati will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam. The GATE 2026 dates will be updated soon. he details regarding the exam date and subject-wise test dates will be available on the GATE 2026 hall ticket. The specific schedule for each GATE paper will be available few days before the exam dates.

The GATE exam is conducted over multiple days in two shifts. This year, IIT Guwahati is the organising institute and has scheduled the GATE exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Each day usually features multiple sessions- Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm) across different parts of the state, ensuring smooth conduct of the exam in all disciplines.

IIT Kanpur also accepts GATE exam scores for the admission to M.Tech courses. Candidates with 700 score can easily get admission to any course except Discontinued (Jul 2023)-M.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI at IIT Kanpur. The IIT Kanpur cutoff 2024 stood between 622 and 840 for the General AI category candidates. The toughest and the easiest course to get into IIT Kanpur were Discontinued (Jul 2023) - M.Tech in Microelectronics and VLSI and Discontinued (Jul 2023)-M.Tech. in Power Engineering for the General AI category candidates. Considering the IIT Dhanbad M.Tech cutoff 2024, the last-round stood between 232 and 711 for the General AI category candidates. Among all the courses, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stands out as the most preferable choice for admission among the students belonging to the General AI quota. The last-round cutoff of the same stood at 711 in 2024.
