India is an agricultural country & its future will still depend on it for decades to come. India has still miles to go to be on par with other Asian countries- not to speak of developed countries. And therefore it definitely had a bright future. Remember the former is a professional course as compared to latter & therefore has its own inherent advantages.

I am a student freon Biology stream. So, I can surely say that geology and botany have more scope in India. Yes, you can study B.Sc. Geology after completion of your Diploma Electronics and Communication Engineering course. Candidates who have passed three years Diploma in Electronics course are eligible to get lateral entry admission in second year of three years B.Sc. Zoology course.

The job opportunities for geologists are increasing day by day. After getting the degree from reputed institutes or universities, you can work both in domestic as well as international arena. There are many other area where you can work like mineralogy, volcanology, hydrology or oceanography. Those working in environmental geology can work for private companies or consulting firms to help them in manage water resources. It will be difficult to choose between two, they are almost equally good. You can compare the research activities and career support of each. McGill university overall has higher ranking than Alberta.
