Guide-Level 12

Hi Ashish, Universities in Germany are often funded by the state but not necessarily regulated by it. So every university decides its own eligibility criteria and cut-off. Hence, it is advisable to check the university website for the specific programs eligibility criteria. I believe, the best answer to your question can be found here:

Your class 12th percentage must be above 75%. In Germany, universities ask for 13 years of education but in India, we have 12 years of studying experience. So you have three options:
1. Clear IIT-JEE Main and Advanced
2. Spend a year at a university in India
3. Do Studienkolleg
After that, you need to pass TestDaf up to level c2 to prove your knowledge of German language. The requirements of your respective field can be found on the website of the university.

Hi Himanshu,
Every country has stringent labor laws and with MS, the ideal work you may join is research or graduate assistant. The salary may range between 5 to 15 or more euros per hour and you may work up to 20 hours a week. For more clarity read this. Getting a job entirely depends on your skills and if you know German, it would be much easier.

GRE is necessary for securing admission for competitive courses like mechanical, aeronautical, civil or automobile engineering.
Other than that, it is not mandatory. You need to appear for scholarship tests like IELTS or TOEFL. German language certificate could be an added advantage but not mandatory.
