The Germany Scholarship is given by a neutral selection committee once a year at the start of each winter semester. The scholarship is a non-income-related programme that supports high-achieving students of all nationalities. The total scholarship award is EUR 3,600 per year and thus EUR 300 per month. Half the award is paid by the federal government and private donors cover the rest.

International students staying for more than 90 days are required to obtain a residence permit. Also, international students have to submit proof of finances for one year, i.e., they should keep EUR 10,332 in a blocked account. It will cost EUR 75 for a student visa to Germany.
