It is a government scholarship offered by the state of Bavaria to International students. The scholarship covers the printing costs for dissertation of doctoral courses. For students enrolled in UG or PG degree courses, it covers the cost of books and learning materials. The financial award ranges between INR 10.5 K and INR 52.6 K for UG and PG students. Yes, mostly! Most public universities don't have tuition fees. You only pay a semester fee for things like your bus pass and admin costs. But, if you go to a private school or study in certain states like Baden-Württemberg, you will have to pay.

Most students earn €13–€16 per hour. If you do a Minijob, you can earn up to €556 per month (2025 limit) without paying taxes. As a Werkstudent, you can earn more but must pay some social security.
