Total cost in Germany differ by university type for per year are mentioned below for Indian students -
• Public University (budget) - INR 9L – INR 13L per year (living- INR 8L – INR 10L + semester fee INR 25K– INR 40K)
• Private University (mid range) - INR 18L – 22 L per year (tuition- INR 10–14 L + living- INR 8–10 L)
• Private University (premium) - INR 22L – 28 L per year
Living expenses are mentioned below for Indian students-
• Rent- INR 30K–60K per month (EUR 350–700)

Blocked account (Sperrkonto) is German bank account required for your student visa application. It proves you have sufficient funds to support yourself in Germany.
• Required amount- €11,904 per year (approx. INR 10.5–11 Lacs at current exchange rates)
• How it works- Funds are deposited and released monthly (~€992/month) so you can access them
• You must show this amount at time of visa application along with your university offer letter

Germany offer 2 types of universities with very different fee structures as mentioned below-
• Public Universities- Tuition is largely free (€0) for all students, including international students. However, a semester contribution fee (Semesterbeitrag) of approximately €150–350 per semester is charged, which typically covers student transport passes and administrative costs.
• Private Universities- Fees range from ₹8–20 Lacs per year (€8,000–€20,000/year) depending on the institution and program.
Total annual cost (tuition + living)- For public universities, expect ₹8–

Yes, students can study at the Uni Applied Sciences without German. The university offers over 50 English-taught courses.
Indian students are however advised to learn German as it can improve the chances of landing part-time jobs in Germany and the overall quality of student life.

Yes, students can change their course at the Uni of Europe for Applied Sciences. To do that, students have to consult the student services department and faculty to understand the process.

Transfeerring to Uni Kassel is technically treated like a new admission. Interested students will need to apply for their favorite degree programme via the university website.
If admitted, students can then apply to transfer the credits from their previous program.

Students can apply for housing as soon as they receive their admission offer. The application can be submitted via Studierendenwerk Kassel website. Waiting time can be worth several months.

Yes, students applying to universities in Germany via Uni-assist need to pay an application fee worth EUR 75 (INR 8.1 K) for the first study course. For any additional course in the same semester, additional EUR 30 (INR 3.25 K) apply.
