For IIM Ahmedabad's MBA-PGPX program, applicants are advised to target a GMAT score of 690 or more. The incoming class has an average GMAT score ranging from 690 to 697. The range usually falls between 600 and 800. While there is no cutoff, it is advisable to score in the 70th to 75th percentile for improvement in your application. On top of this, they should have at least four years of full-time work experience and even comply with minimum eligibility conditions.

Academic strengths: If your math skills tend to be stronger than your verbal skills, the GMAT might offer a better opportunity to show off those strengths. If you're a strong writer, consider the GRE. Due to the vocabulary involved, the GRE can sometimes be more challenging for non-native English speakers.

Yes, you can apply for admission in 2025 based on your GMAT score from February 2024, as most MBA colleges accept GMAT scores valid for up to 5 years. Admissions depend on the specific requirements of the colleges you target, such as score cutoffs, work experience, and interview performance. For example, top institutes like ISB and IIMs typically require scores of 700 or higher. Check individual college guidelines for clarity.

Thanks.

All the candidates who are going to apply for Full-time MBA at Haas School of Business are required to take a GMAT or a GRE in order to be eligible to apply. The B-School is not interested in scores, meaning they do not focus on the scores as a whole. This B-School is particularly interested in the quant section of the test, so a student has to aim to score well in this section of the test.

Important Guidelines for students who are taking GMAT/GRE:

·         The test should have been taken on or after Oct 1, 2019 for the Fall 2025 Full time MBA admissions.

No, the students can skip submit the GMAT scores to the University as it is an optional thing. Although these tests are highly recognised and can give a student an additional edge with relevant data. Most of the international students who wish to enrol at this B-School appear for this test, and the test scores can be easily submitted by the official portal of the school while competing an application.

The students who opt out to take GMAT, are required to demonstrate their readiness and commitment to the programme by the help of their essay on 'why do they want to be enrolled in the Management programs at UCLA'.

Several online sites and organizations offer free counseling and help with writing the SOP for GRE or GMAT exams. Some of them include Manya Group, Career Launcher, and TCYonline that are providing free counseling sessions, tips, and strategies for GRE/GMAT preparation. Edwise International and Yocket are also pretty good for guidance on studying abroad. There are free webinars and resources for writing a strong SOP. Student communities are also available on forums like The GradCafe and Reddit, providing advice on how to prepare for exams and writing SOPs. These platforms should be consulted for personalized help.

Yes, you can appear for GMAT exam every month but with some certain conditions. The gap between two exams should be 16 days or above. A student can appear for a maximum of 5 times in a year. Apart from this, there is no condition for appearing in GMAT exam. Keep in mind, retaking the exam is not a bad thing but preparing well for the exam is an effective approach.
