For the three wings of the Indian Armed Forces, the five-day SSB interview is essentially the same. There are two stages to the SSB interview process. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) is the full version of SSC MTS. It is important for candidates to be aware that the SSC MTS 2024 notice has been postponed. The official notification will include the deadline for applying to the exam. In July and August of 2024, the SSC MTS 2024 exam will be administered.

For general and OBC categories, the RRB ALP application fee is INR 500; for SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes, it is INR 250. Following a candidate's appearance in the CBT's initial round, the application cost is reimbursed. The RRB ALP application fees are partially refunded to general and OBC candidates, but fully refunded to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class candidates.

RRB JEs make a base pay of INR 35,400. For this position, the salary range is INR 35,400–1,12,400, with INR 4200 as the grade pay. For 12th pass positions, the base RRB NTPC wage is INR 19,900 to 21,700 (varies depending on jobs). For graduate positions, the base RRB NTPC wage is INR 25,500–35,400 (varies based on posts).
