The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conduct the TNPSC Group 2 exam to recruit candidates for Group 2 and Group 2A posts. The Group 2 posts include interviews in their recruitment process. The candidates can opt from both the services. 

The minimum qualifying marks for TNPSC Group 2 interview posts are 40 marks in Paper 1 of the Mains exam and 102 marks in Paper 2 of the Mains examination

Curren Affairs is the most dynamic section of the TNPSC Group 2 syllabus. The candidates are required to prepare and consolidate the preparation of current affairs daily. The candidates can see the important components for the preparation of current affairs for TNPSC Group 2 exam:

• Reading atleast one Monthly Current Affairs Magazine
• Watching the Sansad TV channel 
• Practicing Current Affairs mock questions from various websites

The candidates should understand that the TNPSC Group 2 exam preparation required time. The candidates cannot prepare instantly for the exam. It requires a constant dedication of over six to nine months. While preparing for the TNPSC Group 2 exam, the candidates are required to avoid some mistakes. Territorial Army is a part of the regular army but it is an ad-hoc force that is recruited from already employed or self-employed candidates. The Territorial Army units get embodied every year for a two months training camp and then it gets disembodied. The personnel goes back to their respective trades in the civil and some of them are bankers, lawyers, agriculturists, etc. Officers who continue to serve beyond the embodiment period every year are retained. The promotion of the officers is based on their record of service and the period of their service.

SSB is a comprehensive test of personality. The criteria for assessment in SSB for all entries of three services are the same. Hence SSB for Territorial Army is similar to SSB for any other entry.
