Dear aspirant, Yes, one can write the UPSC and MPSC exams who is graduate from YCMOU because YCMOU is recognized by UGC and granted statutory power by the Maharashtra State legislature. See anyone who is graduated from recognised universities by University Grants Commission then they all eligible for almost every government exams like exams of Maharashtra Public Service Commissions (MPSC) and Exams of Union Public Service Commission UPSC as well. Dear aspirants, Union Public Service Commission and Public Service Commission of respective states conduct entrance examinations for various fields and positions, and for most of them, one needs to hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Now, It does not matter whether you have completed your Bachelor's degree program after a Diploma course or have followed a bachelor's degree program after completion of higher secondary, if you are a graduate, you will be considered eligible for graduate-level examination provided you fulfill other eligibility criteria applicable to each examination conducted by Union Public Service Comm

The syllabus of UPSC is based on complete general studies and one optional subject of your choice. So you can choose any subject listed by UPSC in their syllabus. You can go through the UPSC exam syllabus for civil services on its official website. Maths is recommended and you'll be able to handle it with relative ease if you have engineering experience. Perhaps, because civil service exams do not include computer engineering, you could be better off keeping math as an optional subject. Of course, you can and you should. If you are serious about it, It's great news because If you want to crack Civil Services you need a minimum of 3 years of preparation at least. If you are going through it during your graduation it will save you plenty of time and energy after graduation. As your link is not broken with the subjects which are very useful in civil services, It is the most appropriate time to go about it. There can be two kinds of strategies you can opt for-
1. If you are very sure that UPSC or other similar administrative services are your only goal then take out the syllabus of those exams and note down major subjects.
