No. The Tier 1 marks for the SSC CGL are not used in the preparation of the final merit list. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. However, the final selection and ranking is based on the marks obtained in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.

No. The Commission is expected to release the SSC CGL Tier 2 Result in March 2026. It will be released on the official website at ssc.gov.in. The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam was conducted on January 18 and19, 2026.

The SSC CGL Exam Centres are allotted on a first apply first allot basis. The candidates are required to choose three exam centre cities from a region and the Commission tries to allot the exam centre in those three.
The Commission also release the data about the candidates who got the exam centre of their choice.

The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 2 Result in March 2026. The Commission conducted the SSC Combined Graduate Level exam (Tier 2) till January 19 in online mode as a Computer-Based Exam.

Yes, they are very useful. They show the type of questions and how hard the exam is. Solving them will help you manage time and improve accuracy. Try to solve at least 5 to 10 old papers before the exam.

The Staff Selection Commission mention the SSC CGL eligibility criteria in the notification for the exam. The Commission mention all the details a candidates require to fulfill for the exam. The two most important factors under the SSC CGL eligibility are
- Educational Qualification - A Graduate in Any Discipline
- Age Limit - It is defined separately for each SSC CGL post.

The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2025 on its portal - ssc.gov.in. The Commission mentioned the roll number and names of the qualified candidates in the result PDF.

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL cutoff with the result PDF. The Commission released the category-wise SSC CGL cutoff for all the post-groups with the result. The Commission released the Tier 1 cutoffs separately for all the post groups and categories.
The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 was conducted till October 14.

SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 result was released on December 18, 2025 at ssc.gov.in. The Commission also released the Cutoff for all the categories and post groups. The Staff Selection Commission released the official answer key on October 16.

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL 2025 exam dates (Revised) of the candidates through its application status/city slip. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2025 application status on its official website - ssc.gov.in under the candidate's login. The candidates were required to check their exam dates by logging with their SSC OTR. The candidates should note that the SSC CGL admit card 2025 was released four days before the exam date of the candidate.
The SSC CGL 2025 exam was conducted in September.
