PCS is very easy when compared to IAS.
State PCS examination is not very dynamic (unlike UPSC CSE which has become very unpredictable and dynamic). So, chances of getting selected in State PCS is more if one has worked hard.
Good luck.

In my opinion, BA (Hons) is better than BA as far as UPSC civil services preparation is concerned. UPSC requires Something of everything and everything of something.
You should have a very good command over general studies with the current affairs.
Everything of Something:
Here something is your optional which covers pretty good marks in CS Mains. It doesn't matter if you have best resources UPSC is the toughest exam of country at present and quicker you start the better you will be prepared
Coaching institutes these days can help you with a part of your coaching but in the end its time and hard work you put in that matters

To become a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), you need to take the State Police service exam. These are taken at state level by respective State public service commissions. The candidates who clear the State PSC exam are made DSP. DSP officers generally become SP of police in around 8-10 years. A candidate starting as a DSP can expect to rise to a level of Inspector General Police in a state. There are some minimum requirements for this as well like being a graduate, being more than 21 years of age as well as physical requirements. Do research these before applying. Good luck.
