Honestly speaking, Asia-Pacific Institute of Management is much better than Great Lakes, Gurgaon. Asia-Pacific has been able to make a name for itself in the management field all these years. The graduates from this college are trained so practically that it helps them to carve their way up immensely. Moreover top companies like ITC, JLR, EY, Blue Star, Flipkart, L'Real, Decathlon, Aditya Birla Group, ICICI Bank, American Express, TATA Group, Gartner visit the AIM campus to recruit the students of AIM.

PGPM Course at Great Lakes have an advantage of corporate exposure through mandatory live projects, apart from that one year advantage at Great Lakes is one thing, which makes it stand apart in the industry. Location is another factor which makes Great Lakes better over Tapmi.

Hello Punit,
Whether you have taken admission via lateral mode or after 12th, it matters less during placement season. What matters is your academic record/performance, how you conduct yourself during the interview, etc. This institute has a reasonably good record of placing students. However, it all depends on the condition of India's economy when you pass out. Chances are that Indian industry would be booming by then. So, have no worries.
