On Admissions

Q:   How much does a fresher need to score in CAT and XAT to get into this college for PGDM or PGDM IB?

A:
It would be helpful if you can mention the name of the college you are referring to for PGDM or PGDM IB admission. Different colleges have different cutoff scores for admission based on various parameters such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the selection process. However, I can give you an idea of the general cutoff scores for CAT and XAT for admission to top management colleges in India. For admission to Tier-1 management colleges such as IIMs, the cutoff score for CAT is usually above 95 percentile. For admission to Tier-2 management colleges such as SPJIMR, XLRI, and MDI, the cutoff score for XAT is usually above 90 percentile. However, these are just indicative cutoff scores, and the actual cutoff may vary depending on various factors. For PGDM or PGDM IB programs, most management colleges consider the scores of CAT, XAT, GMAT, or CMAT. The cutoff scores for admission may also vary based on the category of the candidate such as General, OBC, SC, ST, or PwD. In conclusion, it is difficult to predict the cutoff scores for admission to a specific college without knowing the name of the college. You can visit the official website of the college and check the admission criteria and cutoff scores for PGDM or PGDM IB programs. Based on the cutoff scores, you can plan your preparation and aim to score above the cutoff scores to secure admission to your desired college.

Great Curriculum with Placements.
Placements: More than 150 companies visit the campus for recruitment including ITC, Nestle, Gartner, GEP, Mckinsey and FedEX etc. Various kind of roles are offered in all domains and everyone do gets placed. Average CTC would be around 14 this year with the highest going upto 23-24.
Infrastructure: Our College doesn't have its own hostel facilities which I think is very important for a full fledged learning experience though it has partnered with some PG's nearby to accomodate students. Our Campus is not lush green as compared to other similar colleges but do have all basic amenities.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members have a rich education background and work experience to help you enough to understand real life business scenarios. Course Curriculum is upto to date with all relevant subjects and exams/attendance are do taken seriously and serious actions are taken if you does not comply to it.

Overall good college for .
Placements: We are still in the course of pgpx but the previous placement was average, the highest package was 12-13 CTC. If I talk about the role the company come with role senior consultant, Manager etc. They provide 100%. Internship. So overall good in term of other courses they are offering.
Infrastructure: Fully air-conditioned digital classroom with all facilities, high-speed internet, digital library credentials are provided by the college, various software like SPSS provided by the college. There is private hostel provided by the college it's approximately 1.2km from college campus which is fully furnished.
Faculty: I am fully satisfied with the faculty of the college, they are very helpful and understandable. Course circular is very much relevant with the related industry they held seminar extra session for doubt clearance. Examination is transparent with proper results.
Other: Due to COVID19 protocol, college not allowed any type of students gathering in the campus but virtual seminar, quizzes etc. Held in the college.

It provides good faculty members and a good academic environment.
Placements: Our college provides 100% placements. The highest salary package offered is 41 LPA. It should provide more investment banking companies on the campus for placements. It needs to be more competitive in the market in terms of roles offered to students in internships and jobs. It requires more companies from operations, HR, core marketing, consulting, and investment banking.
Infrastructure: The hostel needs improvement. Hostel needs to be available on campus. It is far from college and managed privately. The library is good, and the labs are also good. There is no ground for external sports. Classrooms are good at par with other good colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, knowledgeable, and very supportive. The course curriculum is very relevant. Examinations are very competitive as it tests your knowledge and skills.
Other: The campus needs to be huge. The hostel facility needs improvement. Extracurricular activities are given a lot of importance like fest, seminars, etc.

Placements: The placements are decent enough. Some reputable companies visited our campus, such as Phillips, Panasonic, Nestle and Viacom 18 etc. The highest salary offered was INR 41 LPA, the average salary was INR 11.7 LPA. 100% Placements Record is in Finals as well as in Summer Internship.
Infrastructure: Campus is not very big in size and hostels are privately owned at a distance of 2 km from the campus. FORE School of Management has no hostel facility of its own. The whole campus is Wi-fi Enabled. The quality of food at cafeteria is pretty decent.
Faculty: Faculty is quite helpful, qualified, and Knowledgeable. The college has a tie-up with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for the International Immersion Programme. Although due to COVID, the IIP programme has been canceled by the college because of travel norms.

FORE is a college of opportunities.
Placements: FORE School of Management has good placement and internship records. Till December, a majority of the batch gets placements and internships. Companies that visit for final placements provide internships as well, thus portraying a sense of belief in the minds of companies regarding FORE School of Management. The average package offered in final placements is around 9-10 LPA, while the maximum package offered was 20 LPA, and the minimum package was around 6-6.5 LPA. A majority of the roles offered are around sales and pre-sales, but there are good opportunities related to finance as well. KPMG, Deloitte, Asian Paints and Nestle are a few major brands visiting FORE School of Management every year.
Infrastructure: You should not expect much from FORE School of Management. Rajhans hostel is provided by the college for accommodation. Two types of classrooms are available, new ones and old ones. The classrooms recently built are equipped with modern technology, but old classrooms are quite timid and difficult for students to move around. A library was built recently, which is spacious and quite visibly pleasing.
Faculty: The majority of faculty at FORE School of Management are experienced and have hands-on knowledge of the industry. FORE has an application or case study-based examination structure where theory-based questions are left, but industry-based scenarios and questions are more, which tests the student's industry readiness as well. A go-through of lectures shall be adequate to score well in exams. Assignments and projects are a part of daily routine and account for a big portion of the credit system.
Other: As FORE is a student-driven college, there are events throughout the year. From small to major events, all the committees give infinite opportunities to students to explore their area of interest.

FORE School of Management FAQs

Q:   Which one is better - FORE School of Management or K. J. Somaiya?

A:

In terms of infrastructure, KJSIMSR does better than FORE, while the latter appears to be a better option for freshers. In terms of placements, the average placement is quite similar for the two, but KJ Somaiya is the best bet in terms of ROI. K J Somaiya Institute of Management is an autonomous college located in Mumbai. It is one of the top-rated business schools in India. It runs the following courses which take admission through CAT XAT CMAT. Post Graduate Diploma in Management Post Graduate Diploma in Management - International Business Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Retail Management Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Financial Services Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Marketing Communications.

It also runs MS MCA programs, which are affiliated with Mumbai University. Along with that Somaiya also has Doctoral programs, Management Development, training programs, and Ph.D. All the programs are approved by AICTE and Mumbai University. Therefore, K J Somaiya Institute of Management is better than FORE School of Management. If you have a choice between these colleges choose the former.

Q:   What would be the CAT cut-off for this year at Fore School?

A:
The CAT cutoff for Fore School of Management, New Delhi for the current year has not been officially announced yet. It is usually announced after the CAT exam results are declared. However, based on the previous years' cutoffs, the expected CAT cutoff percentile for Fore School of Management for its flagship PGDM programme may be around 85-90 percentile. It's important to note that meeting the CAT cutoff percentile is just the first step in the admission process, and Fore School of Management also considers other factors such as academic performance, work experience, and performance in the institutes selection process for final admission. I would advise you to keep an eye on the official website of Fore School of Management for the latest updates on the CAT cutoff and admission process.
