It is extremely unlikely that you will be admitted to IP University given your stated CLAT score and the cutoff ranks for this year. This is because the maximum rank cutoff is extended up to a rank of 9999, which is nearly 10,000. Although it is quite improbable that you would be admitted to I.P University given your rank, there is always a bright side to everything. There are currently other law entrance tests, like as the MH LAW CET, SLAT, DU LLB, etc., that you can take in order to be admitted to some of the best law schools.

Yes, you would get the seat in Delhi NCR based colleges : JIIT (Noida), MDI-Guragon, and Ramjas College- New Delhi. The cutoff rank for these colleges is in the range of 60,000-80,000 for EWS. These college requires JEE Main/CUET as a compulsory score to get a seat in any branch of the colleges. You can also get admission in Shivaji College from IP University with this rank.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University does not accept LLM applications without CLAT. It's mandatory to take CLAT for admission to an LL.M course at IPU. The university does not conduct its own enterance exam, So the selection is based on CLAT. The last year (2023) cut-off for CLAT last round was 17943.

The following are the parameters and the respective weightage:

  • CLAT Score: 50%
  • Performance in PI round: 30%
  • Year-wise professional experience: 20%

I hope you will find this helpful, you can reach out to us for further queries.
