In 2023, the cutoff dropped from 550 in 2022 to 804 in 2023 for the General-All India category in the last round. IP University placements report is not available for the MCA placed candidates. As per the IPU USICT placement report, the average package offered as per a consolidated report was INR 12 LPA in 2022. As per the IP University 2023 brochure, the duration of all the MCA courses is two-year. The course is further divided into semester pattern. There are four semesters during the course. The syllabus might also be defined semester-wise. Candidates have to pass all the semester exams in order to get a MCA degree from IPU.

For IPU MCA admission, candidates need to appear for the NIMCET entrance test. IP University MCA (lateral) entry admission is based on the IPU CET entrance test. In case of vacant seats after counselling, GGSIPU will consider Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by GGSIP University for MCA admission. Moreover, now CUET-PG scores are also accepted. The total IP University BCA course fee is cumulative of several components such as the tuition fee, security deposit, library fee, and other such components.
