The criteria for appearing in IPU CET B.Tech counselling is considered as a little different for regular B.Tech courses compared to B.Tech and lateral entry programs:
- Regular B.Tech Courses:
- Valid JEE Main scorecard is required. IPU CET scores are not considered for these programs.
- B.Tech (Biotechnology) & Lateral Entry Programs:
- JEE Main scorecard is not mandatory. Seat allotment for these programs happens based on your IPU CET score.

The weightage given for each topic in the IPU CET for Lateral Entry to B.Tech course for Diploma Holders is as follows:
- Applied Mechanics (25%)
- Applied Mathematics (25%)
- Computer Awareness and
- Physics/Chemistry Knowledge (25%)
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning (25%)

IPU does not offer B.Ed on campus, it offers through the affiliated colleges. The minimum cut-off rank for the latest round 3 is 53 and the maximum cut-off rank is 2600 for IPUCET.
The fee for the course is INR 1.92 Lakh, Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’ s Degree and/or in the Masters degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities OR Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent are eligible to apply.

NDIM is an integral part of the non-profit & charitable education society, Society for Employment and Career Counselling. All the course offered by NDIM is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC) UK.
