Yes, health insurance is a necessary requirement for all the international students who want to study in Germany to cover the essential health expenses. Additionally, this is also an essential requirement for the visa application.

However, healthcare without insurance is expensive. Most of the students who stay in Germany for the study choose the award winning companies that offer Public insurance including AOK, TK or more. International students can also apply for the private insurance companies or the providers.
