You cannot get a visa without OSHC. This money needs to be paid before you fly to Australia. For a single student, it costs roughly AUD 600 to AUD 700 per year.

I've seen this question come up a lot — “What are the various kinds of health insurance in India? ” — and honestly, I used to be just as confused. On the surface, it all looks the same. But once I started exploring for my own family, I realized how many different types actually exist.
The most common ones are the basic individual health insurance plans, which cover just one person. Then there are family floater plans, which I initially thought were always cheaper, but they only really work if the age profile of the family is balanced. I also came across senior citizen health insurance, which has slightly different benefits

I've been thinking a lot about where the health insurance industry is heading, and honestly, it feels like we're finally moving past the guesswork phase. For the longest time, I had no idea whether my policy was actually strong or just “okay on paper.”
That changed when I tried BimaAnalyze out of curiosity. It didn't need my documents — just my PIN code, insurer name, age group, and a few basics. What surprised me was how it used those simple answers to assess my policy against real-world factors like hospital costs in my city and typical claim patterns.

A health insurance professional helps individuals and families understand, compare, and choose the right coverage based on their medical and financial needs. Their work goes beyond suggesting plans — they interpret policy terms, explain exclusions, highlight sub-limits, and guide clients through claims and renewals.

With just basic inputs such as Pin Code, age group, insurer name, and sum insured, BimaAnalyze evaluates more than 100 real-world

Honestly, I used to think health insurance was just a backup plan for hospital bills, but the more I looked into it, the more I realised it's basically financial protection for medical emergencies. Instead of paying huge hospital costs from your pocket, you pay a yearly premium, and the insurer takes care of covered treatments.
What confused me in the beginning was how different every policy looked — room rent limits, waiting periods, exclusions, pre-existing condition rules — all these things can completely change your real protection. Two plans can have the same premium but offer very different coverage.

The medical insurance for international students in UK will cost £776 per annually. This is the Immigration Health Surcharge, paid during the visa application, along with the visa fees. This will allow the students to gain access to NHS services, which will make healthcare affordable, except for dental care, eye care, surgeries, or prescription medications. If there is a dependent accompanying the student, a separate Immigration Health Surcharge fee needs to be paid during the visa application fee payment. If one feels, one can add a private health insurance along with NHS services to cover the other aspects of healthcare, not covered
